ABOUT THE FORUM
The US Securities and Exchange Commission has delayed the US Treasury clearing mandate for a year – until December 31, 2026 for cash Treasury securities and June 30, 2027 for repos. The industry has made significant progress in preparing for implementation, with new clearing models and documentation under development. But there’s still plenty of work that needs to be completed, at a time when Treasury markets have been volatile. In particular, a series of regulatory and capital reforms are required to ensure clearing is successful and the US Treasury market remains deep and liquid, including changes to the supplementary leverage ratio and treatment of cross-product netting.
The ISDA Treasury Forum New York will bring delegates intelligence and analysis on preparation efforts and the steps that still need to be taken. Held in-person, the event will feature senior market participants and regulators, as well as providing valuable networking opportunities.
